Canoe / Kayak Rentals  

I normally try to arrange rentals of canoes or kayaks with liveries located at the river we plan to paddle as it is often more economical than hauling them from Dallas. This also in most cases saves shuttle costs. On rivers where rentals are not available, I have a quantity of tandem canoes of my own that are available for rental.  Kayaks are occasionally available for day paddles, but all overnight trips will be done in tandem canoes.

Shuttles

 Depending on the river, available access and the driving distance, shuttles can be a costly proposition.  Fortunately on the majority of the rivers that I guide on, there are rental liveries that include the cost of shuttles in their rental prices. I also know several places where we can run our own shuttles that have safe parking at both ends. In either case, do not leave any valuables in your car that can be seen through the windows to avoid the temptation of a passerby.
